Nightly Timetable

5:00 – Sign in is open

Sign in is opened and club operations begin. Stormglow Battlegame Albury/Wodonga is, as of this time, open to the public.

5:30 – Setup begins

Sheriffs (Umpires) coordinate setting up the field, such as boundaries and terrain. This can ideally be done with the help from signed in players.

5:50 – Warband leaders report

Sheriffs call a warband leaders meeting. Sheriffs advise warband leaders on which warbands are calibrating together. Warband leaders report their numbers present on the field. Legal warbands (5+ on the field) are established and warbands that are not legal join a sponsor legal warband. Two warbands that are not legal cannot amalgamate to form a legal warband. Combatants joining a sponsor warband have their sponsor warbands morale bonuses.

5:50 to 5:55 – Calibration

While reports and meetings are ongoing, warbands are to calibrate with one another as assigned by Sheriffs. All members of one warband calibrate with all members of another warband, one-by-one.

5:55 – Warband leaders meeting

Sheriffs call a warband leaders meeting. Only warband leaders of legal warbands report to this meeting. Sheriffs then explain the topography, run through any housekeeping, then explain the objective and context for the first game to the warband leaders. Once all warband leaders have had a chance to ask final questions and expressed their complete understanding, they are to return to their warbands and pass information to their warbands, including sponsored warbands if any.

5:55 to 6:10 – Equipment desk check

The equipment desk team selects a warband to spot check for the night. Once the warband is done calibrating, the equipment desk team takes the warband and inspects their kit as per equipment desk procedure. Any kit found inadequate will be advised and not permitted onto the field.

6:00 – Sign in closes

Sign in closes at 6:00pm sharp. Any players who miss sign in will have to wait until a water break or half time to be signed in.

6:00 to 6:10 – Gameplay begins

Once the equipment desk team reports their inspection is complete to Sheriffs and any equipment found inadequate, Sheriffs commence gameplay. If any equipment found inadequate is found on the field, Sheriffs are then informed and can then issue cards (yellow, red or black) for using informed unsafe equipment.

6:30 to 6:40 – Quarter time water break

Gameplay halts for a water break. Players swap sides when returning to the field. Sign in re-opens during the break if necessary.

7:00 to 7:10 – Half time break

Gameplay halts for a break. The game changes to the second game when players return to the field and players swap sides again.

7:05 – Warband leaders meeting

Sheriffs call a warband leaders meeting. Only warband leaders of legal warbands report to this meeting. Sheriffs then explain the objective and details for the second game, as well as any changes to rules and terrain. Once all warband leaders have had a chance to ask final questions and expressed their complete understanding, they are to return to their warbands and pass on the round information to their warbands, including sponsored warbands if any.

7:30 to 7:40 – Quarter time water break

Gameplay halts for a water break. Players swap sides when returning to the field.

7:50 – Free-for-all

Gameplay stops, and the free-for-all begins. This is a Battle Royale open to all players where you fight one another (yes even your own warband) to be the last one standing. The winner of the free-for-all is awarded either their next game free, or additional HP for their next game.

8:00 – Awards and housekeeping

Players meet for the hand out of the nightly awards. Sheriffs to note who awards are given to for collection the following week. After the awards, Directors and Sheriffs run through any housekeeping if necessary.

8:05 – Clean up and close

All players perform an “emu bob”, picking up all equipment and rubbish found on the way. Once the emu bob is finished, Stormglow Battlegame Albury/Wodonga is officially closed, and players are free to leave.

8:10 to 8:20 – Gates locked (horse pavilion only)

The gates are locked by Directors. All players must have vacated the horse pavilion by this time.
